Xenoblade Chronicles 3: So Far, We’ve learned Everything

Huge mechs, vast wilderness areas, and cool anime protagonists wielding enormous swords with unfathomable manoeuvrability are all part of the action-RPG Xenoblade Chronicles 3. Monolith Soft’s critically acclaimed RPGs have been praised for their deep action-combat systems, striking open worlds, and innovative storytelling. As a result, critics may be impressed by this new entry for some time to come.

Despite the title implying that it is the third game in the series, Xenoblade Chronicles IV: Awakening is actually the fourth instalment. Xenoblade Chronicles X, on the other hand, has no storey connection to the main games, so it is ignored in the timeline.

In addition, the Xeno franchise has been around since 1998, when Xenogears was released on PlayStation 1. Xenosaga, the three-part series that launched on PS2 during its lifetime, has pushed this game up to the series’ eighth entry.

Everything we know about Xenoblade Chronicles 3 so far, including its storey, characters, gameplay, and so on, can be found here.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Release Date

As of right now, Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is scheduled to be released in September of 2013. As of yet, the game’s release date has not been set, and even if that date is set, the game could still be delayed further.

That’s not to say the third Xenoblade Chronicles game won’t be ready five years after Xenoblade Chronicles 2, which was released in late 2017. Xenoblade Chronicles 3 will be exclusive to the Nintendo Switch like the previous game.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 story

The plot of Xenoblade Chronicles 3 revolves around the conflict between two nations. When it comes to technology, Keves is at the forefront, while Agnus focuses on ether, the magical counterpart that allows machines to function independently. There will be two main protagonists in Xenoblade Chronicles 3, and they are on opposing sides of a war.
Noah, one of the main characters, is a Keves soldier who wields a distinctive crimson blade. Agnus soldier Mio uses hoop-shaped weapons, prioritising speed over strength, and is the other protagonist. Even though these two characters are on opposing sides of the conflict, it appears that they will unite for a greater good. “

To commemorate the many lives lost in the war, the protagonists use their flutes. Some call these people “off-seers,” because Noah and Mio are seen facing each other and singing along to a sad song. To honour those who have lost their lives in war, two characters from nations that hate one another will join forces in Xenoblade Chronicles 3, implying that the game will deal with themes of senseless brutality.
“Fighting to live, and living to fight” is the opening line of the game’s reveal trailer. War between Keves and Agnus has resulted in nothing but death in these countries, erasing all meaning from their lives in order to serve the endless war. What a treat it will be to see how these themes are further developed in Xenoblade Chronicles 3.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 characters

Some of the characters in Xenoblade Chronicles 3 have been revealed in a series of tweets from Nintendo. The game’s two main protagonists are Noah and Mio, who represent opposing sides in a seemingly never-ending conflict.

A soldier of Agnus, Sena, wields a massive, unconventional hammer to bring down his enemies. It’s not surprising that she enjoys body-building, given the size of her weapon. When Noah goes into battle, Lanz, a Keves soldier who can wield both a sword and a shield, is by his side.

It is Taion’s high intelligence that allows him to play the role of strategist while fighting as an Agnus soldier using magically-infused paper-mache. A Keves soldier with a “Gunrod,” a cane-like weapon that allows her to heal her allies, Eunie rounds out the cast of characters. Her crown is adorned with a pair of eagle-like feathered wings.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 gameplay

It’s possible to speculate based on previous Xenoblade Chronicles games, but no combat footage has been released. It was possible for the player to move freely while party members automatically engaged in combat in Xenoblade Chronicles 2’s action-battle system. To inflict status ailments, heal or perform other powerful actions, players can use Arts. Additionally, by combining various arts in an appropriate order, players can unleash an even more powerful Chain Attack that can inflict a significant amount of damage.

World traversal was shown off in the trailer, which mainly involved running around the enormous environments. While swimming, we see Mio perform somersaults and glide across a zipline like a dolphin. A naval vessel, which appeared to be a high-tech boat, was also used for traversal.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 trailer

Nintendo’s February direct provided the first look at Xenoblade Chronicles 3. We see the aforementioned cast engaged in combat at the beginning of this trailer. Mio, Sena, and Taion, as well as Noah, Eunie, and Lanz, are among the Agnus soldiers fighting against the Keves soldiers.

Noah’s voice can be heard saying, “What compelled you to join them?” at this early stage. In the trailer, Noah and Mio can be seen together a number of times, suggesting that this scene occurs early in the game.
“A brand-new storey that ties together the futures of the worlds depicted in Xenoblade Chronicles and Xenoblade Chronicle 2,” reads the trailer’s description on YouTube. If the third entry is linked, this confirms it. However, this isn’t all that shocking.
