Even though The Walking Dead has returned from its midseason break, Netflix has not yet made Season 9 available. Season 9 of The Walking Dead will premiere on Netflix in the United States on this date.
AMC’s The Walking Dead is still a big hit, despite the fact that many fans have stopped watching it in recent years. Still drawing big crowds, but no longer the only zombie show in town. For those who don’t have Netflix, there’s a spin-off series called Fear The Walking Dead.
In 2019, the show’s finale will feature the show’s biggest stars saying their final goodbyes, making the ninth season its most ambitious and radical yet (or at least it should be). This season, Rick and Maggie’s actors, Andrew Lincoln and Lauren Cohen, are both leaving the show. In addition, we’ve learned that Danai Gurira, who portrays Michonne, is also set to leave the show this season. Despite this, it appears that Season 10 will go ahead as planned.
While the war has ended, this season sees a major shift in storey, with both the saviours and Negan being neutered by the end of the season.
The Walking Dead Season 9 Netflix Release Date
Season 9 will arrive on Netflix in the same manner as the previous eight seasons, which have been released on a consistent basis. Only three AMC shows will be available on Netflix this year, making AMC shows available on Netflix a rare occurrence.
Season 9 of The Walking Dead will premiere on Netflix in the United States and Canada on September 1st, 2019, following the release of Season 8 on September 24th.
Will The Walking Dead leave Netflix?
The Walking Dead’s exit from Netflix has long been a concern for many. Since third parties are removing their titles from Netflix, we’ve seen a significant shift toward Netflix originals in the last few years.
Netflix, on the other hand, has an existing contract with AMC for The Walking Dead. As a result, all of the show’s previous and upcoming seasons will be available on Netflix indefinitely. However, AMC may be able to buy its way out of this contract, but that doesn’t appear to be the case.
What about other Netflix regions?
Season 9 will be released on Netflix in the United States, as well as in Canada and Japan, around the same time, in September 2019. Some countries in Europe and Latin America will also receive aid, but the exact dates are unknown. Depending on when you read this, we’re expecting Season 9 to be released (probably in late 2019 or early 2020).
