Information on a second Suicide Squad spin-off is expected to be released soon, according to James Gunn

Peacemaker’s second season appears to be moving forward as well as James Gunn’s second Suicide Squad spin-off series
In a strange twist of fate, Disney’s decision to remove James Gunn from his director role on Guardians of the Galaxy was actually a blessing in disguise for him. On The Suicide Squad, thanks to Disney’s “letting him go” a little while, Gunn was able to secure a long-term deal with Warner Bros. that has resulted in an extremely positive working relationship between the two companies.

However, now that all of those issues are behind them, Gunn has returned to work on Marvel Studios’ Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3, it appears that Warner Bros. will be his primary home in the world of superheroes, as the production of his next Suicide Squad spin-off is moving forward quickly.

Film director Gunn announced this week that John Cena’s anti-hero will return for a second outing in his final episode of Peacemaker, which premiered this week.

However, Gunn has been working on a second Suicide Squad spin-off for a while now that is currently lurking in the shadows and is expected to be completed soon. No one knows yet which members of The Suicide Squad will be involved in this new project, but Gunn has said that it won’t be long before everything is revealed.

With Peacemaker, James Gunn has caught the bug, and he says his immediate future is focused on television

James Gunn has previously stated that he feels more at liberty working on R-rated DC material than he does with Marvel, whose biggest projects and the MCU are currently restricted to PG-13. For this reason, it appears that Gunn will not only continue working with DC for the foreseeable future, but he will also be focusing on television for the foreseeable future as well. He stated:

‘Yeah, I think I’ve pretty much decided to do television for at least a year after ‘Guardians,” she says. That’s what I’m going to do. Because I won’t be writing and directing all of the projects we’re working on, the time commitment will vary. In “Peacemaker,” I’ll write, direct, and spend every waking moment on set. However, there are other shows in which the writers and directors may or may not be the same person.

Gunn’s work in Peacemaker and The Suicide Squad has received excellent reviews, and it’s clear that he’s in the zone right now. As long as Gunn is given the freedom to do whatever he wants, he may be able to stay on for a longer period of time than originally planned by Warner Bros.
