Maoujou de Oyasumi, a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Kagiji Kumanomata, was the first adaptation of Sleeping Princess in the Demon Castle. Since May 11, 2016, it has appeared in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shnen Sunday magazine. In total, twenty volumes have been published since the first one was released on September 16, 2016.
Since June 12, 2018, Sleepy Princess in the Demon Castle has also been published in English by VIZ Media as Sleepy Princess in the Demon Castle.

Sleepy Princess in the Demon Castle Season 2 Renewal Status
In September 2019, Weekly Shnen Sunday announced that Kagiji’s manga series Sleepy Princess in the Demon Castle would be adapted into an anime. Doga Kobo, a studio known for its anime releases like Monthly Girls’ Nozaki-kun, Plastic Memories, and Himouto! Umaru-chan, animated the adaptation.
The show began airing on October 6, 2020, and ended on December 22, 2020, after a total of twelve seasons. Chibi shorts by Doga Kobo were also released on the anime’s Twitter page from October 10, 2020, to December 24, 2020, during the television anime’s airing period.
Many of the anime’s ardent devotees are already looking forward to the second season’s release. So, is Sleepy Princess in the Demon Castle Season 2 being renewed?
This season of Sleepy Princess in a Demon Castle hasn’t received any official statements from either author or studio. If there is a season renewal, we don’t know for sure. Even so, the show hasn’t been cancelled at this point in time.

It’s safe to say that the studio will have plenty of material for a sequel. There have only been seven volumes of the manga shown in the first season, and the manga is still being published. With the available source material, the studio could easily produce two or more seasons. It’s also possible that the studio will cover the missing chapters in the second season, since they skipped a lot in the first season’s adaptation.
The anime series, on the other hand, was well-received by a large portion of the fan base. MyAnimeList has given it an astounding 8.01 rating, and the anime has amassed more than 150k followers on the site. Because of the anime’s godlike comedic quality, many fans have expressed a strong desire for a second season in online forums.
Many anime fans are eagerly awaiting the second season of Sleepy Princess in the Demon Castle, which has been hinted at several times by the official anime Twitter account.
Fan outrage erupted when it was revealed that a movie announcement they had made on their official Twitter account was in fact an April Fools joke.
Season 2 of Sleepy Princess in the Demon Castle seems likely in light of the aforementioned factors. The official announcement is expected to be made sometime this year.

There are many ways to ensure a peaceful sleep, from the fluffy demonic teddy bears’ fur to the silky, blanket-like bodies of ghost shrouds. Because she has so many materials at her disposal to make sleep aids from, the sleepy princess will not be deterred by anything—not even death.
