JK Simmons has stopped looking up at Spider-Man or the Bat-signal to think about what’s out there in the cosmos, far beyond Earth-bound heroes. The result is Night Sky, a beautiful and deeply moving science fiction mystery that follows Franklin and Sissy Spacek’s character, Irene, to places they have never been before.

If you’re here, you’ve probably finally gotten over how sad the last episode was and want to know what comes next. We’re here to help with that. Join us here at Perfect Techy as we look up and into the future to see what season two of Night Sky on Prime Video has in store.

Night Sky Season 2 Potential Release Date: When Will Night Sky Season 2 Air on Prime Video?

The first season of Night Sky came out all at once on May 20. This means that Prime Video probably won’t add any new episodes until at least the summer of 2023. And that’s if the show Night Sky comes back for a second season at all.

Either way, you can expect to hear something by the end of June 2022.

Night Sky Season 2 Cast: Who Is Returning for Night Sky Season 2?

The love between Irene and Franklin is at the heart of this show, so it’s hard to imagine the second season of Night Sky without Sissy Spacek and JK Simmons playing these roles. Chai Hansen as Jude, Julieta Zylberberg as Stella, Roco Hernández as Toni, and Kiah McKirnan as Denise will probably join them.

At the end of season one, there are still a lot of questions about what happened to Byron, who lived next door to the Yorks and was always in their business. When Irene and Franklin left the safety of their room, they didn’t see any signs of Byron in that alien wasteland, but we think he’s hiding out in that strange town somewhere on the planet.

If Byron does show up alive and well, Cass Buggé will probably come back as his long-suffering wife, Jeanine.

Night Sky Season 2 Plot: What Will Happen in Night Sky Season 2?

After the Yorks had a violent run-in with the group that has been looking for Jude for a long time, their granddaughter decided to leave and go with Jude as he looked for his father. She said, “I need to try something new,” so they went down a hallway that led to… Bangkok?

At least, that’s what Jude says. But is it just us, or does this version of Bangkok look a little more futuristic than usual? What if that strange machine can move people not only through space but also through time?

While Stella and Toni were on their way to Disneyland, they were caught by surprise. The cult that had been chasing them put bags over their heads and took them away once their van stopped flipping around. The strange thing about this meeting is that the cult was led here by the same woman Jude met earlier in the season when he was looking for information about his father. It turned out that she is an “apostate,” just like Jude, though we’re still not sure what that means.

She told Cornelius, who was tied up, “You and I are going to have some fun.” “Welcome to the world after the Fall.” Most likely, the cult thinks that our modern society is “fallen,” maybe in a Biblical way. But we won’t know the answers until the end, because the finale then brought us back to the Yorks, who finally decided to go outside that door.
