There are three types of entertainment fans: those who enjoy movies, those who enjoy TV shows, and those who enjoy anime. It’s difficult to determine which category has the most fans, but we can say that each one has its own essence and skills for keeping viewers involved. Kill la Kill, also known as Kiru ra Kiru in Japanese, is a Tigger-produced anime series directed by Hiroyuki Imaishi and written by Kazuki Nakashima. Every episode of the first season, which began on October 4, 2013, was a hit with viewers. A show-based manga series written by Nakashima and illustrated by Ry Akizuki was launched on the same day. Fans have gone crazy for the manga series and show since it debuted in Japan, and two extra episodes under the Kill la Kill Specials were aired a year later. Fans haven’t heard anything about season 2 since then. So, here’s all we know about the incredible anime series’ upcoming revival.

‘Kill la Kill’ Season 2’s Release Date
The first season aired 24 episodes and began on October 4, 2013, with the season finale airing months later on March 28, 2014. On September 3, 2014, Kill la Kill Specials was published. Nothing substantial about the second season has been released in a long time, indicating that it has been a long time since we heard anything. However, we may expect the second season to premiere in 2022, though we’ll have to wait for official confirmation from the production team before we can believe it. We don’t know how the COVID-19 pandemic influenced the current season’s production.

‘Kill la Kill’ About
The plot of this anime centers around two schoolgirls, Ryuuko Matoi and Satsuki Kiryuuin, who attend Hannouji Academy, a fictional high school in the Tokyo Bay area. The anime series begins with the assassination of Ryuuko’s father. She travels across the country in search of the killer. The fact that there was just one clue – the missing half of an invention known as the Scissor Blade – led Ryuuko to the famed school’s doorway. This is no ordinary school; it is run by a cruel student council led by Satsuki Kiryuuin, who is icy and ruthless. Only in that specific place can the elites have access to extraordinary talents.
Goku Uniforms are required for anyone who attends this school and is usually a member of the student council. Those who wear it have superpowers thanks to a special substance called Life Fibers. When Satsuki discovers the allocation of Goku Uniforms through a royale and king-of-the-hill combat known as Naturals Elections, Ryuuko believes it is the greatest opportunity to challenge Satsuki and the Elite Four in order to locate the person responsible for her father’s death. However, despite possessing one-half of the Scissor Blade, Ryuuko was unable to obtain the superpowers and was easily defeated by a student dressed in a Goku uniform. She flees to her demolished home to recover from her injuries in order to save herself.
It was only then that she came across Senketsu, a sentient article of clothing constructed completely of Life Fibers. Senketsu begins to work with Ryuuko’s blood and becomes fused with her, giving her great power. Ryuuko returns to Honnouji Academy after receiving the superpower and the Scissor Blade, hoping to avenge what happened there and defeat the Elite Four and fight Satsuki this time. However, things take a turn for the worst when a dark scheme emerges, threatening the Earth’s destruction.
