MetaMask’s network settings are where you’ll find the option to remove a network.
Simply navigate to the “Network Settings” section of your computer and click “Delete” to remove the network from your system.
The network will be deleted after you click “Delete.”
You won’t be able to select the deleted network from the Network dropdown box any longer.
Do not delete test networks in order to remove them.
Instead, all you need to do is change the settings to hide them.
Turning off “Show test networks” in MetaMask’s settings is all you need to do.
Test networks will be hidden once you turn off “Show test networks.”
You can delete a network on MetaMask by doing the following:
1. Log in to MetaMask
If you haven’t done so already, you can get the MetaMask extension here.
Start by logging into your MetaMask account.
To begin, open Chrome and select the MetaMask toolbar extension.
To use MetaMask, you’ll first need to sign in to your wallet using the MetaMask extension.
Enter your password and click “Unlock” to begin the process.
Alternatively, you can import your secret recovery phrase to log in to your wallet.

2. Go to your MetaMask settings
To change your MetaMask wallet settings, you must first log in to your MetaMask wallet.
The Network dropdown box itself does not allow you to delete networks.
To begin, go to the top navigation bar and click on your profile icon (next to the Network dropdown box).
This will bring up a drop-down menu with a variety of choices.
Create an account, import an existing one, connect a hardware wallet, access support, and customise your account settings are all included here.
To access your MetaMask settings, click on “Settings.”
3. Click on “Networks”
You’ll be taken to the settings page after clicking “Settings.”
There are a variety of options on the page.
“General,” “Advanced,” “Contacts,” and more are included here.
To create your own RPC networks, click on the “Networks” menu item.
To make changes to your networks, go to “Networks.”
4. Select the network that you want to delete
When you click on “Networks,” a list of your current networks will appear.
Included in this is the “Ethereum Mainnet” network as well as various other test networks.
The custom networks you’ve added are also included.
To delete a network from MetaMask, you must first select it.
Select “Smart Chain” to remove the Smart Chain network, for example.
5. Click on “Delete”
Following the selection of a specific network on MetaMask, the network’s details will appear.
The URL, chain ID, currency symbol, and more are all included here.
It’s important to remember that neither the “Ethereum Mainnet” nor the test networks can be deleted.
MetaMask uses these as its default networks, so this is what you’ll see.
The only custom networks that can be deleted are those that you’ve previously added.
Click “Delete” to remove a customised network, such as the Smart Chain network.
It is unlikely that the “Ethereum Mainnet” or any of the test networks will have access to the “Delete” button.
6. Confirm the network deletion
Following the “Delete” button, a pop-up will appear.
It asks if you’re certain that you want to delete the network.
Now that you’ve deleted the network, you’ll need to confirm it.
To do so, click on the “Delete” button.
On MetaMask, clicking “Delete” will remove the network from existence.
It’s no longer visible in the drop-down menu when you click on the Network option.

If you aren’t using a network, you can remove it from MetaMask.
A custom network like Fantom or Polygon can be deleted from MetaMask using the guide above.
MetaMask does not allow you to delete test networks.
To hide test networks from the drop-down menu, you must not want them to appear in the list.
Click on your profile icon, select “Settings,” and then “Advanced” to hide test networks.
The “Show test networks” option can be found in your advanced settings.
If the “Show test networks” option is checked, the test networks will be visible to the user.
Disabling the option is the only way to hide them.
