HORIMIYA SEASON 2 – WILL HAPPEN SOON?

After debuting in January 2021, the anime “Horimiya,” a lovely high school romance-comedy portraying two kids with seemingly contrasting characteristics, garnered a positive response from viewers. Will we see more of Kyoko Hori and Izumi Miyamura’s love tale in the future? Hopefully. When Horimiya premiered at the beginning of this year, it took the world by storm. Fans fell in love with the sweet love tale between two high school students who were on opposite sides of the political spectrum. Based on a manga series written and illustrated by Hiroki Adachi under the pen name Hern, the anime series is set in the same world as the manga series.

Horimiya received a positive reception from both fans and reviewers during its first season, earning an 8.2 out of 10 rating on IMDb and an 8.2 out of 10 rating on MyAnimeList. Horimiya received the same ratings from both audiences.

The first season of “Horimiya” came to a close in April with the pair’s graduation, and many fans are now asking if there will be a second season that takes up where the first season left off. We’ve pulled together all of the information we could discover about a prospective future season of the show. So, will there be a second season of Horimiya? Here’s what we know so far.

Horimiya Season 2 hasn’t been confirmed

There is a lot of anime that is based on existing source material, and if you’ve seen the first season of “Horimiya,” you’re probably already aware of the fact that it was made in 13 episodes, which was enough to cover the whole plot of the original manga, which has 122 chapters. The season comes to a close with the graduation of the principal couple and a happy finale that leaves no loose ends to tie up. In this case, it appears that a second season of the anime is unlikely to be produced. Moreover, as of right now, there has been no indication from the show’s creators that the anime will be renewed.

The fact that there are 122 chapters of source material and only 13 episodes of the anime shows that “Horimiya” did not encompass the entirety of what happened in the manga. Some of these chapters were addressed in a brief slideshow montage that was shown at the end of the anime, but it’s still possible that subsequent episodes would delve deeper into the narratives that were left unfinished in the last episode. Unfortunately, there has been no indication that there will be any more episodes like this in the future as of this time. As a result, we must patiently await the arrival of inspiration.

Horimiya Sales and Profitability

More than 15,000 copies of the book have been sold thus far. DVD/Blu-Ray discs account for approximately 15-20 percent of the total revenue generated by an anime series. This may appear to be unprofitable, and it certainly contributed to the failure of several anime series.

Anime series have the potential to market a wide range of items, making it a thriving sector. Some of the products that were marketed as merchandise included the following:

Certain characters, such as this Naruto Men T-Shirt and the One Piece Zoro Shirt, both for men and women, are just stunning to look at. Also, have a look at this Gaming Mouse Pad with Maid Sama Posters because it appears to be the most attractive.

As well as this Keychain, there is a large selection of My Hero Academia backpacks, hoodies, Kaicho wa Maid Sama Misaki Ayuzawa Cosplay Costume, and other fun merchandise.

Horimiya Season 2 Release Date

We already know that Horimiya will not be returning for season 2 of the show. However, because the show has not been formally canceled, there is still a very slim chance that season 2 will be produced.

Season One began airing on January 10, 2021, and concluded on April 4, 2021, after 13 episodes had been shown. If the show is renewed for a second season, the earliest probable release date would be early 2022 (end of season 1) or early 2023 (beginning of season 2). (early).

Horimiya Season 2 Storyline

A gorgeous and popular Kyoko Hori and an introverted and bashful guy named Izumi Miyamura are the central characters in Horimiya’s storyline. Even though they attended the same high school, their social standing and attitudes are opposed. Nevertheless, their school personalities have been carefully constructed to conceal their true identities outside of the four walls of the academic institution. When he is not inside, the nerdy Izumu enjoys a more adventurous life and dresses in punk style, replete with tattoos and earnings, when he is outside. Souta’s younger sister Kyoko, on the other hand, dresses down and takes care of her younger brother.

The two come across each other outside of school, and after learning about each other’s secrets, they make a pact to keep the information from their classmates at school. As the story progresses, the two begin to feel a connection to one another and eventually fall in love. They finally declare their feelings for each other near the end of the film, and their friends embrace and encourage their relationship. In the final episode of the series, the two were seen celebrating their high school graduation together.

If the show is extended for a second season, we may expect to see the development of Kyoko and Izumi’s relationship continue in some form. The original material has already been depleted by the end of the first season. Consequently, if the anime wants to continue with the series, they will have to come up with a fresh narrative.
