He is the protagonist of Hajime Isayama’s Attack on Titan manga series, Eren Yeager, who is also known as Eren Jaeger in the subtitled and dubbed anime versions of the series. When Eren’s mother was devoured by Titans and his hamlet in Shiganshina, Wall Maria, was devastated, he vowed vengeance. When Eren enlists in the military, he joins the Survey Corps, an elite group of soldiers who fight Titans and study Titan physiology in order to better understand what they are fighting. “Attack Titan” refers to Eren’s newfound ability to become a Titan as the story progresses (, Shingeki no Kyojin). In addition, he has appeared in a number of other media, including anime and video games.
Throughout the series, Isayama depicted Eren as a complex character who was a constant source of conflict between his fears and dreams and his own darkness. In the anime version of the series, Eren was voiced by Yki Kaji in Japanese and Bryce Papenbrook in English. As Eren matured through the course of the story, both actors found it increasingly difficult to maintain consistency in their vocalizations. During the live-action film adaptations, Haruma Miura portrays him on-screen.
Critics initially had a love/hate relationship with Eren, with some accusing him of being too violent and foul-mouthed for his age. Character values and newfound Titan powers, as well as his character development, were highlighted in the positive feedback. Eren’s popularity has risen in subsequent arcs of the manga and anime, as evidenced by his nomination for “Best Protagonist” and “Best Antagonist” at the 2022 Crunchyroll Anime Awards, which he won in the latter category. It’s still a popular character with fans of Attack on Titan. Several of his voice actors received high praise for their work on the project.

12 new episodes have been confirmed by MAPPA as part 2 of the final season of Attack on Titan: The Final Season.
