Elvis Aaron Presley is one of the most popular American singers and actors.  He was born on January 8, 1935 In Tupelo, Mississippi, U.S. He is dubbed the ‘King of rock and roll’, He is regarded as one of the most significant cultural figures of the 20th century. He made a lot of records in his journey. Presley remains the best-selling solo music artist according to Gunness world records. He also holds the records for most songs charting in billboards. Later years of prescription drug abuse and unhealthy eating habits severely compromised his health and he died suddenly in 1977 at his Graceland estate at the age of 42.

BIOGRAPHY OF ELVIS PRESLEY

Elvis Presley was born on January 8, 1935, in Tupelo, Mississippi. He lived in a two-room shotgun house that his father built for the occasion. Presley has a twin brother, Jesse Garon Presley, who was delivered 35 minutes before him. Presley was very close to his parents, especially with his mother. Once the family attended an assembly of god church, where he found his initial musical inspiration. Presley’s father was of german Scottish and English origins. Presley’s mother fly was of Scottish Irish with some French Norman ancestry.

The entire family believed that his great-great-grandmother, morning dove white, was Cherokee. This belief was confirmed by Elvis’s granddaughter Riley Keough in 2017. Elaine Dundy in her biography supports the belief.

His father Vernon moved from one odd job to the next, showing little ambition. The family often depends on the help of neighbors and government food assistance. They lost their home because of his father’s fault. He went to jail for 8 months. Period. At that time Gladys and Elvis moved in with relatives.

In September 1941  Presley was encouraged to participate in a singing competition to impress the school teachers. He sang “old sheep”  at the age of 10 years. He stood on a chair to reach the microphone. after a few months Presley received a guitar on his birthday .when he don’t know how to play guitar. After a  year he learned basic guitar lessons from his uncle. He says “I took the guitar, and I watched people, and I learned to play a little bit.

Later he entered a new school for further studies. At that time he was in sixth grade. For over a year he brought his guitar with him and played guitar at lunchtime. After just two days after Elvis Presley’s unexpected death, mourners lined the street for his extravagant funeral at the time he was just 42 years old. He was found dead on his bathroom floor. In his later years, Elvis was famous for taking everything to excess and weighing 25 stone he has prescribed almost 9000 vials, pills, and injections. It was just seven months before his death.

Then news of the passing of the great legend who changed the face of rock and roll forever. And it was shocking news for the whole world. Later his entire family and close friends rushed from their places to Memphis and gave some time to pay their respects.
