From Avengers: Endgame to Spider-Man: Homecoming, Marvel Studios has a wide range of superhero films, making it tough to deny that the studio is the industry’s dominant force.
Since several highly anticipated films will be released in 2022, DC Universe appears to be in a strong position to compete with Marvel in the upcoming year. This includes the release of the Batman flicks, The Flash and Aquaman, and the Lost Kingdom.
Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, widely known for his role as Dwayne the Rock in the WWE, will star in another future DC picture, Black Adam, which is scheduled for release in 2022.
It was revealed to the public over the Super Bowl weekend that Dwayne Johnson would be playing Shazam’s long-term foe, Dr Sivana, due to a spectacular new teaser.
Clips from all of DC’s upcoming 2022 films are teased with a voice-over that says, “Adam is glancing up at a couple of incoming helicopters.” This is what my kid wanted for the future, and I couldn’t be more proud of him.” Because of this, he came to my aid.”
In addition, Pierce Brosnan, who plays the mysterious Doctor Fate, appears in character in the clip. If you join us, a wonderful world awaits you; I’m staring off into the horizon at Black Adam with my eyes wide open.
After filming was done in mid-July 2021, Johnson posted his opinions on Instagram about Black Adam. The opportunity to work on BLACK ADAM was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for me, and I planned appropriately,” Johnson wrote. “It has been a great honor to work with over 1,000 brilliant and eager filmmakers and storytellers to bring the antihero known as BLACK ADAM to life.”

After being held prisoner in Kahndaq for 5,000 years, Teth-Adam/Black Adam (Dwayne Johnson) awakens in the present day and vows to vanquish any hurdles that stand in his way. The release date of Black Adam was originally slated for December 22nd, 2021, but the Pandemic influenza virus has forced the film to be postponed as expected.
According to the company, the picture will be released in theatres on July 29, 2022. It was then confirmed by the studio that Dwayne Johnson had revealed the release date in March 2021 via an Instagram post on his account.
By releasing an image on social media of the film’s fancy clapperboard in April 2021, Johnson announced that filming had begun. In mid-July, we hope to have wrapped up shooting.
According to Johnson’s tweets, the filming of the movie has come to an end — and what an exhausting shoot it was. “This is the end of BLACK ADAM’s narrative. An amazing journey has been had by those involved. Taking on this project was the most physically and mentally taxing experience of my whole professional career. Black Adam Cast
Having spent years orbiting between the roles of Black Adam and Shazam, Dwayne Johnson finally settled on the former due to his unexpectedly rebellious personality. On April 5, 2019, the film will be released.
On top of that, Noah Centineo has been cast as Atom Smasher, a DC Comics superhero with the capacity to grow to 60 feet tall when the situation calls for it.
According to Variety, Aldis Hodge (The Invisible Man) will portray Hawkman in the next movie. In the most recent episode of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, Hawkman was joined by Hawkgirl, a longtime friend.
A human archaeologist named Carter Hall (or his alien counterpart Katar Hol), who is armed with gigantic (artificial) wings that allow him to soar through the air with incredible speed, is a common depiction of the figure.
Additional casting news includes Cyclone, the wind-controlling superhero played by Trinkets’ Quintessa Swindell. It has been confirmed that Aladdin and The Old Guard actor Marwan Kenzari has been cast in the film. His exact role has not yet been revealed.
Dr. Fate will be Pierce Brosnan’s first superhero role since his James Bond days, according to The Hollywood Reporter, which broke the news in March 2021. For the first time in his career, the actor who played James Bond will portray a supernatural hero.
In 1940, DC Comics introduced Doctor Fate as the son of an archaeologist who was given sorcery powers by the Helmet of Fate, a mystical piece of armour. The son of archaeologists, he became a founder member of the Justice Society.
“A university professor and liberation warrior commanding the resistance in Kahndaq” is the name of Sarah Shahi’s character in Black Adam, according to Deadline, and she goes by the name Adrianna.
During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter earlier this month, Shahi claimed that she had no idea what movie she was applying for when she sent in her audition tape.
